tawny-owl is an API that for writing OWL documents in a full programmatic environment. While, for basic use, the syntax is similar to Manchester syntax (http://www.w3.org/TR/owl2-manchester-syntax/), it is backed by a full programming language, and can therefore be scripted, macro’d or databased to your hearts content. It uses the Clojure language as it’s main entry point and is backed by the OWL API (10.1007/978-3-540-39718-2_42).

The original motivation and development for the library is being documented in my journal. The code itself is developed on github
